Byron Photography

About

My name is Mark Byron – a Professional Photographer based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Photography has been a part of my family dating well back into the mid 1800’s – when The Byron Co. of New York specialized in Ship and Stage Photography. When my Great Grandfather, Percy Byron decided to close the doors to his studio – he donated to the Museum of the City of New York, an enormous collection of photographic work that represented two full generations of Byron Photographers.  The collection is one of the museum’s most complete photographic documentations of life in New York City at the turn of the century. The collection is also one of their most prized.

For more information, please visit:   Museum of the City of New York : Byron Company Collection OnLine. This database contains digital images and descriptive information about individual works in the Byron Collection. The collection consists of over 22,000 photographs of New York City and its environs taken by the Byron Company between 1890 and 1942.

As a full-time photographer, I continue this great family legacy, along with my Father, Tom Byron – who is also a Professional Photographer working for Life Touch Photography in Atlanta, GA.

I currently study Fine Art with a concentration in Photography at the University of Cincinnati in the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (D.A.A.P.)

I use NIKON Digital Cameras and Nikkor Lenses almost exclusively. Please feel free to email me with any questions or requests you may have. I offer extremely high quality imaging at competitively low prices! Call me today for pricing and scheduling.
