St. Patrick’s Day 2010

In Photojournalism on March 19, 2010 at 10:50 am

Well, I knew I was going to have a busy day this year on St. Patrick’s day.. so I didn’t get up AS early as some of you party animals – but, I was drinking a dark, delicious Guinness at around 9 am. That’s a far cry from 6:30 am like some troopers. Maybe I’m getting too old for that nonsense? Nope, just had too much going on that day to get drunk first thing in the morning. If you’ve started following my blog at all, you’ll see that later that day I photographed a wedding too.. probably not a good idea to show up drunk to a wedding.. Heck – I don’t want to accidentally drop one of my cameras!! Well, rumor has it – that Cock n Bull changed their first keg of Guinness somewhere around 7:25 in the AM. Now, I cannot confirm or deny this rumor – but take a look at the gallery of images I captured for Cincinnati Metromix – and see for yourself. I made it to Cock n’ Bull and Molly Malone’s. Things were really hoppin at 9 o’clock in tha mornin me laddys. So, top o’ the mornin’ to ya.

Akin Wedding – Carmen and Togger

In Wedding Photography on March 18, 2010 at 5:38 pm

Togger and Carmen – married on a Wednesday…  not just ANY Wednesday – St. Patrick’s day!  And they didn’t go and get married at any ‘ol run o’ the mill place either… No no..  These two thrill seekers married right smack dab in the heart of the St. Patrick’s Day festivities in Covington, KY.  Molly Malone’s, one of the largest Irish Pubs in our area was throwing a bash like no other, right next door to where they tied the knot…  Needless to say – this was one of the coolest, most memorable weddings I’ve been to in quite some time.. and I’ve been to a wedding or two in my day!  Togger and Carmen – I wish you both the best!  Thanks for making me a part of your special day – and may you both enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
